David Bamber, a British actor, is well known throughout the world for his awesome work on television and theatre. He has made appearances on innumerous British Television series and mini-series and TV movies etc. He’s an associate of Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. David joined Bristol University and then continued his studies at RADA.

His early appearances were on Hanif Kureishi’s ‘The Buddha of Suburbia’ and Jane Austen’s ‘Pride and Prejudice’ etc. In 1997, he was seen on Steven Moffat’s Chalk portraying Eric Slatt. His most popular role is of Marcus Tullius Cicero on the HBO Original series ‘Rome‘. He was next seen on ‘Minder’, a revival of the popular 1980s television show and ‘Collision’, a five part series. In the upcoming year, he’d be seen in an upcoming BBC series. In 1995, David Bamber won the 1995 Laurence Olivier Award as the Best Actor for his brilliant performance on ‘My Night with Reg’ as Guy. In addition to acting, David also gave his voice to several projects. He voiced Emperor Constantine on ‘Doctor Who‘, Jeremy Longstaff in the 2008 radio series ‘The Way We Live Right Now’; and on ‘The Council of Nicaea. In the 2008 movie ‘Valkyrie’, Bamber was seen portraying Adolf Hitler.

David Bamber married Julia Swift, an actress and the couple has two sons, Theo (b.1991) and Ethan (b.1998). As of now, they all are residing in North London.

Among David’s other notable appearances are ‘Privates on Parade’, ‘High Hopes, ‘Dakota Road, Year of the Comet, Wet and Dry, Gangs of New York, The Bourne Identity, I Capture the Castle, The Clap, Miss Potter, and The All Together etc.
